It wasn't so uncommon to find Remus Lupin reading in the Great Hall as he ate, despite the fact that it was a Saturday morning and there weren't any more classes until Monday. And so, there he sat, rather casually, flipping through the pages of a rather old volume that he'd grown fond of over the past few days. The little food that he'd picked out for himself sat untouched on his plate, as his appetite had left him and Remus didn't feel so well. Every approaching full moon was the same, despite the fact that Remus just wanted a month of peace, not that he could ever have one, truthfully. And as his time came closer and closer, he was beginning to feel sicker and sicker, his body already anticipating the painful change.
Remus sighed, browsing a few paragraphs on a subject that appeared to be halfway interesting, and let himself be consumed by the words. Being a seventh year prefect was beginning to already pile up on top of his responsibilities of being a decent student, and Remus hated feeling behind. Not that he did, considering this book had nothing to do with any of his classes, but... he just felt like he was spending an unnatural time away from the written word. It was unnerving.
He hardly even noticed someone approaching him.
