HAIR: drew has short, dark brown-almost black-hair which falls naturally in a lazy, messy, style (which he doesn't care enough to fix by combing through it)
EYES: brilliant baby blue eyes
BODY AND HEIGHT: andrew is a rather fit guy, and he does have quite a bit of muscle on him (but clearly not in that body builder way). he stands at an imposing height of 6'2"
DISTINCT MARKINGS: a few scars from his work against death eaters under the order, and numerous healing burns from when he used to work with dragons
CLOTHING/STYLE:
ever since he graduated from hogwarts, andrew leans towards a style which he finds much more comfortable than his old school robes. he typically wears a pair of worn blue jeans and a simple t-shirt (his favorite is plain white) or a button-down long-sleeve shirt. over top he chooses to wear a rough black jacket or the crisp, nice jacket that would usually accompany a suit. as for shoes, he wears whatever is most convenient and most functional for his situation. he also wears a bracelet around his wrist, which is clearly the work of an artistic child.

WEAKNESSES: reckless, insensitive most of the time, liar
PRIORITIES: serving the order, friends (the few ones he has), becoming a better wizard
BOGGART: being tortured, being a failure in his own eyes or in the eyes of someone important to him, the death of someone he actually cares about
ERISED: to finally be a part of his own happy family (not that he'd admit to it)
VERITASERUM: speaks parseltongue
PATRONUS: black leopard ++ a trip to the lake with his now exgirlfriend rachel and her little sister maddi
PENSIEVE: being captured and tortured by death eaters
PERSONALITY OVERVIEW:
Andrew has never been exactly the nice knight-in-shining-armor type. Rather, he's quite the opposite. Not many people take a liking to him because he is a sarcastic and cynical guy by nature. He doesn't really look on the bright side of things, but one only has to look at his past to understand why. He also really only trusts himself to get things done right for that same reason. Drew only depends on his fellow Order members for things, and even then his trust is limited unless he knows the person well. He has come to find that trustworthy people are hard to come by, so best to trust as few people as possible.
He maintains a similar policy when it comes to caring about people. The fewer, the better. With his pessimistic outlook, he's concerned that if he actually starts to care for someone then something would either happen to them, or they would leave him. That pessimism combined with his secret doubt in humankind as a whole leads to his almost inability to let anyone too close to him (anyone who hasn't already gotten close to him that is, those people he can't really push away now).
Lying is another one of Drew's bad habits, though as of recent, it's really started to come in handy. It isn't that he has a certain fondness for lying, simply that he finds lies are often easier to tell than the truth. Not to mention they're rather useful to get rid of people when he doesn't want them bothering him. His status as a liar is another reason why people don't tend to like him. Everyone wants to hear the truth...or so they think. They think he's manipulative and cunning-but not in a good way-which granted, sometimes he is. But that's one of the reasons the Order allowed him to join. His skill in deceit has proven to be very useful to them, so far.
But despite all of his horrible personality traits-believe or not, he still has a few good ones. For one, he's always going to do what he thinks is right. Now sometimes he doesn't go about it the right way-but his heart is at least in the right place. Loyalty and dependability also fit in among his more honorable characteristics. He's there when you need him, whether you actually ask for him or not.

HISTORY OVERVIEW:
Andrew Benjamin Griffith was born on February 14 in the overly crowded city of Boston. His father was a prominent politician at the time, and his mother dawdled in selling some homemade scarves and sweaters. Not as though they needed the money, it was simply a hobby she liked to pursue. He was a healthy and clever boy right from the start, that much was clear. Both his parents used to joke that he would follow right in his father's footsteps, and become the next great Congressman or even the President.
Only Drew didn't share his father's passion, even as a young toddler who was taught to see his father as a hero in every light. Of course he adored his father-though he was more of a momma's boy-but his interests laid elsewhere. He preferred to dabble in the arts, where he took a particular liking to photography and music. His parents were supportive though, even though either of those hobbies would hardly provide stable careers.
Being a politician involved in foreign affairs, Taylor was asked to move to Britain when Andrew was only seven years old. The move didn't seem to bother the kid though, he was young and it was easy for him to make new friends. They enrolled him in a public school until he received a letter at age eleven. It seemed to be perfectly ordinary, but it turned out it was Drew's one way ticket to the magical world of witches and wizards. Still a kid at the time, he was enthusiastic, and his parents-while shocked and for a while, in denial-gave him the necessary permission to go. They made it into a family outing even when they had to go gather his supplies. They converted a substantial amount of muggle money into sickles and the like at Gringotts so Andrew would be able to enjoy his wizarding experience to the fullest extent possible.
His first two years at Hogwarts were absolutely magnificent and he even made the quidditch team during his second year. Trouble only arose when his parents were killed in a train wreck, 3/4 of the way into his second year. It wouldn't be hard to assume that the rest of the year was basically a disaster for the boy. Here was where his cynicism and sarcasm really started to develop.
When the school year was finally over, Andrew was taken in by his godparents who were equally as loving as his parents. By this point he was already warmed up to them after his parents had already dragged him to many lunches with the couple before they died. They were well aware of his status as a wizard, and they appeared to have no problem with it. The only slight problem they had was when he had accidentally let their pet snake out of it's cage. Drew saw no problem in it, and even said the snake only wanted to explore the house, but it still seemed odd to the godparents. So of course they contacted one of the Hogwarts staff and he then informed them that Andrew was indeed a Parseltongue. That, however, became strictly need-to-know information in the wizarding world.
Despite the unfortunate occurrences in his life, Amdrew pursued his studies, taking a specific liking to Care of Magical Creatures. Here was where he started researching dragons, and soon after-once he graduated-he ran head first into a career of working with dragons.
Drew picked up a job in Bulgaria working with dragons, where he was first introduced to a spunky girl named Rachel. She worked alongside him, and soon they started seeing each other outside of work. After their relationship progressed, Rachel even took him home to meet her little sister Maddi, who she was very protective of. Her parents were living in Ireland, so she was left to take care of Maddi. Andrew was perfectly content pitching in and helping out with Maddi whenever he went to visit Rachel. To him, they even felt like a real family.
He was so close to proposing even when poor little Maddi was killed by a Death Eater. Apparently they showed no mercy to anyone who was even remotely connected to a mudblood like Andrew. Rachel was so shake by the little girl's death that she felt she needed to someone to blame. So who did she blame but the mudblood? It he hadn't been there, then Maddi would've been fine, right? Well in Rachel's eyes, that was exactly right.
She disappeared almost over night, and Andrew was heartbroken yet again. It was at this point that he gave up working with dragons and moved back to Britain where he joined the Order the Phoenix. Things went smoothly enough for him, except for one slip-up on a mission that put him right into the hands of some angry Death Eaters. Andrew was able to escape, but only after days of pain and torture. This incident, however, only encouraged his work with the Order, so he still remains with them today.
